Entry for April 12, 2008

Our departure is drawing closer... we are so grateful for all the drivers who are giving their time and their GAS to get us to and from the Cities!
We will be leaving the Mpls/St. Paul airport a little after 10 on Wednesday morning and flying to Washington D.C. We will then depart at 5:40 p.m. on South African Airways for Johannesburg, South Africa, arriving Thursday at 3:00 p.m. Although it appears we will be in the air for 21 hours! with the time changes, we will be flying for about 14 hours. After an overnight in a Johannesburg hotel to catch up on our sleep and adjust to the time change, we will fly out the next morning for Malawi.
We will post some pictures of our team and anything interesting along the way. Most pictures will probably feature someone sound asleep on the airplane with a little drool dripping from their mouth...
Tommrrow (Sunday) is our Blessing at both worship celebrations, followed by a meal for the missionaries and their families and a packing party when all of the medications and other gifts that have been donated will be packed into the luggage we will be leaving in Malawi.
